I'm also on this trip, departing 21st October. Looking forward to it! I guess I should be getting my visa and vaccinations soon.
Hi - I'm going on this on 8 October, so thought I'd just let you know how my visa application went - might be useful for you! I applied directly myself (ie didn't use an agency), this saved me the £30 the agencies charge and I got it back in about 3 working days. Surprised me as I'd heard lots of bad stories about them taking ages, sending forms back if there was the slightest mistake on it. I'd still apply in pleanty time, but if it's like when I did it - fingers crossed it will all go smoothly and quickly! Good luck and enjoy your trip! Catherine
Good to hear from you? i'm gill, have you been to india before? I travelled round Goa a few years ago, but i think this will be quite different. I haven't got my visa yet, as i have to fit in sending my passport off between trips to Norway and Florence but must get on it soon!!
I'm going on this trip on 21st October! The group flight was fully booked though so I'm flying with Kingfisher. I'm Rachel, I'm 25 and from the UK. This is my first trip with Exodus but I've done tours with Contiki, GAP Adventures, Travelmoodadventures, Acacia and Topdeck before. Seems like our tour has sold out so should be 16 of us... :-)
i'm flying separately too, as i didn't much fancy a night flight then a five hour drive! So i'm getting to delhi the day before. I've done loads of exodus trips before and they have all been really good, but i've never done one on my own! p.s i'm 33 and i live in london.
Oh ye. I should be fine... I get narcolepsy when i fly these days lol. Hope this one is as good then. I really wanna see a tiger!
It's nice talking to some of the people in the group prior to the trip! Just got my visa back today. I did it by post and it was all hassle free and really quick! Saved about £30 on agencies fees.... I was a bit worried since I don't have a british passport, so you always have to provide with a little more information (or more money!). I'm a Spanish londoner...
This is my second trip with Exodus, I went to Namibia last year with them and loved it, the country and how well the trip was organized. Hopefully this will be as good, if not better.
I managed to get my visa back with no problems at all woohoo. And I saved myself the £30-40 admin fee. I just wondered if we are meant to have malaria tablets for this trip? Anyone know?
I went to my doctor to check about innoculations and they checked on a map of india and said where we were going was low risk and the recommended advise was that it wasn't necessary. I'll probably just cover myself head to toe in veet to be sure!!!
I did my visa application yesterday and i have needed my passport for mini trips up till now, and i didn't know what to put for the two references in india as the info exodus had sent me only had one. I called them and the woman who answered didn't know and they are getting back to me!! Any thoughts?
