Anyone going to Zambia???

I got my vaccinations done, and had dead arms for a few days but nothing major.

Still would be nice to hear from anyone going on this trip. Im all booked up and can't wait.

Hi Craggs, I see the entry I did yesterday hasn't appeared so I'll have another go. I'm about to get a prescription for anti-malarials and give some thought to what to use to deter insects. Do you have info on how high we will be? There is mention of it being chilly at night which I suppose will reduce the chance of bites, but being near the river will increase it. Hi Jeff. Not sure about the exact altitude, but i'm sure its within the range of the mossies. I've still yet to get malaria tablets but the nurse advised I get the expensive ones though, (less side effects and less time you have to take them) all for about £50. I'm also taking some spray (containing deet), some for the body/skin and some for my clothes. I've been bitten through thin clothes before. So I suppose something to stop the itching would be handy aswell.
