Chris and Dean departing 30 Jan for AAG Galapagos cruise plus Wildlife Centre extension. No replies to earlier post - is it just the two of us? Anyone doing AAJ joining us on board?
I did this trip in Dec 2010 and it was fabulous. The Amazon trip was an extension and we did it after Galapagos but I'd rather have done it first as you will do - simply because we were spoiled in the islands by the abundance of wildlife and it seemed much harder to spot things in the jungle. The whole experience was amazing - probably my best trip ever. Our guide on the Cachalote was Juan and he is so passionate and full of respect for the islands. The rest of the team work really hard and the chef is amazing (we had 2 birthday cakes while we were there!)
I'm sure you will enjoy the same photographer's journey as we did - on day 1 you will be capturing everything that moves. By the last day you will require at least 2 creatures in the same shot to make it worth taking - preferably one sitting on another.
Enjoy your trip!
I'm sure we will and it's only a week away now. We're actually doing it the same way round as you did, with the Amazon as the extension at the end. There's only the two of us on this departure but we will join those who have done the Amazon first (AAJ) to go to the Cachalote. No one seems to be talking though!
