Arriving early in Helsinki?

Trip - CFO - SNOWSHOEING IN FINLAND, Departure Date - Sunday 6th March 2011

Anyone else arriving early and spending time in Helsinki? I arrive midnight on the Saturday, staying the night at the Airport Hilton. Hoping to look round Helsinki on the Sunday morning. Will anyone else be around?

Hi Richard

I've booked my own flights with KLM, as I am travelling from Newcastle and having to spend two nights in Helsinki seemed much more attractive (and incidentally cheaper) than two nights at Heathrow. I am booked on the 1650 flight on Sunday up to Kuusamo, same as the group and using the group transfer to basecamp. I've also booked in to a hotel (Scandic Continental) in Helsinki on the second Sunday and have all day in Helsinki before flying home on Monday evening.

I spent a while looking for flights but the prices shot up with a stopover so I decided to fly straight to Kuusamo on the group flights in the end. Helsinki will have to wait for another time...
