Yeah I'm looking forward to kayaking on the Lycian coast.Only thing I'm not looking forward to is travelling from Worcestershire to the hotel near Gatwick while the Olympics are on.

Should be nice and hot in Turkey though

Me and my friend Sue will also be joining you in Turkey - can't wait but not sure about 4-6 hours kayaking a day in the heat - brain obviously was not engaged when booking holiday in terms of time of year! We'll be travelling down to Gatwick from Worcestershire too not really thought about the traffic. Just looking forward to a break :)

Hi Bev,

Yeah should be good.It's supposed to be hot high 30's to mid 40's ,but might be better on the coast with the sea breeze.Gatwick's a pain.Travelling from Droitwich on the Sunday.I think we'll take the kayaking at everybody's pace anyway.Be nice to get some sun.Hopefully meet up at the airport.Sorry for the lack of photo,haven't had time to find one.

Me and Sue will be heading down from Droitwich on Sunday too - staying at the Gatwich Hilton so right next to Airport.

Have you done any sea kayaking before??

Good idea to go Sunday.I'm staying at the Copthorne Hotel, about 10 minutes.Got to get their bus around 5 ish.

I've done a little bit in a small kayak in Pembrokeshire and I'm quite fit and active,but nothing in the larger kayaks that we're probably using.The main thing is plenty of high factor suncream and a big hat.

It'll be nice to have a break in the sun,good food and good company.
