Attempting the Annepurna Sanctuary -
Trip - TNS - ANNAPURNA SANCTUARY, Departure Date - Saturday 7th April 2012

Hello, I am thinking of booking the Annapurna trip next year.  I wondered whether there is anything I should take into consideration this late in the year ie the weather is changeable ?  Also I am anxious that I can amange the challenge.  I have trekked up to Machu Picchu (10 yrs ago)  and Mt Kinnabulu (2 yrs ago)

Any advice welcome.

Thank you

I have been to both Machu Pichu via the high Inca trail and also to Annapurna Sanctuary in April.   The treks were of similar difficulty.  The only thing that might affect you is that snow was lying in the Sanctuary but as it is well trodden not an issue and no need for crampons. Views are awesome

Have just returned from there. Awesome views, good company, mixed weather which made going hard at times. April ideal time for flowers and Rhododendrons especially as there are forrests of them. I managed it at the age of 71 with limited training the last couple of weeks before departure so go for it.
