I have done some trekking and climbing before including Mt Toubkal last winter. Only another 6 weeks to try and get fit and work off the excesses of Christmas and the New Year.

I looked at the Toubkal trip - 17th Jan 2011 - 1:53pm

I looked at the Toubkal trip a while back but ended up going to Costa Rica instead so this will be my first 'proper' mountain trip. Did a bit of playing on glaciers in Chamonix last year but have never been as high as Cotopaxi before so interested/concerned to see how it goes with the altitude. Christmas definitely did more damage than I expected, I'd thought I was getting reasonably fit but then went out on my bike yesterday, it wasn't good...and it was all flat! Now panicking slightly! Have you done much training?
