AYU - Gorillas & Masai Mara (Dep 27th August)

We're on this trip too and like Steve & Hayley just finished buying stuff for the trip, including pens for local children - 35 in a pack for a £1 at (guess where) Poundland.

Great to hear from you.  No, not long now at all.   Getting excited now!  I'm also slowly collecting together bits & bobs.  Pens are a great idea for the kids.  I'll take some stuff with me too for the kids and locals.  I think I read somewhere that red clothes are popular. Wasn't sure what currency to go for so have decided on US dollars.  They tend to be accepted just about anywhere!

 I have yet to book for the balloon trip.  I don't know if we can book this when we're there or have to do it through Exodus beforehand.  It's expensive but I think it'll be worth it.

A friend of mine has just come back and she said it was superb . The only thing she did say that you girls may not like is that it is very coild at night so pack your thermals

Ive just  read some of the previous emails raegarding pens .Every previous trip I have done with Exodus they have tried  to stop this as it causes problems with the kids .Thyey wont leave you alone . Just a heads up thats all guys

Thanks for the heads-up Mark.  I certainly don't want to cause problems.  On past trips we've bought stuff for schools whilst we've been out there, so perhaps that's a better option.  Having looked at my rucksack and the amount of stuff to go in it, I may be pushed to squeeze a paperclip in there! ; )

I shall book the balloon trip before I go.  It sounds amazing.

If there's an O'Neills at Terminal 4 of Heathrow, I shall try and be in there before the flight if anyone wants to meet up beforehand.  I've long red curly hair.  Can't miss me!
