The price listed for the balloon safari is a per person price.  However, the balloon safari is arranged and paid for locally - so you don't need to decide yet if it's something you want to do, you can decide once you are there!

I did the balloon trip over the serengeti on AYK and it is spectactular, it's an amazing way of seeing an african dawn and it also provides a unique angle on game viewing.

That said those guys who didn't do the balloon safari had an excellent early morning game drive.  So it's a real win/win situation to be in - whichever one you do you'll have a truely unique experience.

I'm doing AYU next month and although tempted by the balloon trip, I'm opting to stay on the ground this time round!

Happened to be looking on Exodus and noticed your trip is Tuesday!  I'm booked for Oct trip and almost beside myself with excitement...and nerves re packing the right stuff and packing it in what seems to be an ever decreasing in size backpack!!

Hope you have a wonderful time ....balloon trip or not! I agree it's pricey, but my reasoning is the whole trip is a once in a lifetime experience for me so I want to try it all!! :-)

Hi, can someone advise how payment can be made for the balloon ride.  Do we need to take cash ( just seem a slot to carry around) or can we pay by credit card and if so is there a charge?

Just come back from this trip.  It was fantastic.  Payment can be made by credit card (as long as the card machine is on-line).  Only extra charges will be what your credit card issuer makes.  its well worth the money, and the champagne breakfast afterwards is superb!  Do it!

Definately do it - was one of the highlights of the trip - brunch was amazing after the flight. Those on the trip who didn't do it really regretted it. I was then during the migration and you got a unique perspective - you could see the lines of animals for miles
