battery charging

Trip - AYB - CLASSIC TANZANIA SAFARI, Departure Date - Saturday 6th August 2011
Has anyone been on the camping safaris and if so do you know if the vehicles are fitted with inverters for charging batteries etc or spare ciagr lighter sockets for the same?

I did the Gorillas and Masai Mara tour last year and I did all my charging in the overland truck for my camera and camcorder.

Thats great as I have a solar charger but I am not sure it would be enough given the amount of photos I am liable to take. Would have loved to have done the Gorillas and masai myself but couldn't make the dates work.

I took a solar charger too, but it was mainly good enough for my ipod. The truck we had, had a general multi electrical socket so I just packed the usual adapter for my camera/camcorder. I borrowed a spare battery for my camera and I did take a travel plug just in case but I found that I didn't need it.
