bio degradable shampoos etc -
Trip - AYU - GORILLAS & MASAI MARA, Departure Date - Saturday 1st October 2011

Does anyone know where on the high street bio degradable toiletries can be bought?

Lush are usually pretty -

Lush are usually pretty good, and I understand that pretty much most (if not all) of their stuff is biodegradeable. I don't rate their solid shampoos bars very highly but their bottled stuff is good, and their soaps, shower gels and face washes are amazing.

Body shop have brought out a new range of biodegradeable stuff. It's quite limited, but includes shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Note that their standard products are not biodegradeable.

Both of the above companies usually let you try a couple of free samples before you buy (always worth a go as more natural products can be a bit hit and miss)

Holland and Barratt do a range called Dr Organic which I've not tried (no free samples!)

On the internet, I've used Faith in Nature, and rate their stuff pretty highly. Prices aren't too stupid either.

Finally, I found a company called Aloe-Up which does biodegradeable sun tan lotion which is completely oil free. I've not tried it yet, but can't wait to (and the reviews are good).

Hope this helps,

Phil
