Chamonix Snowshoe - Am I Capable of Grade C!
In short, I would say that this trip will definitely be suitable for you, based on the fact that you are regular hill walkers at home and your previous experience in Nepal. The technique of snow shoeing is very simple and picked up within the first 1/2 hour. If you already use walking poles you will find it very simple to get the hang of. The 'challenging' grade is based on the hours walking and elevation gained each day (more than on the 'moderate' grade), but in Winter you will walk for less time than on a comparable summer trip anyway. Having enjoyed the walks in Nepal you will have no problem here, and the advantage of the 'challenging' week is that the scenery is generally more spectacular as you get up to some higher points during the week.
Good luck with it!
