Hi Jane - great to hear from you.  Went for a Chinese last night to celebrate Megs 17th and to get a bit of chopsticks practice !  We like Chinese food but the prospect of eating nothing else for 2 weeks is slightly daunting.  Exodus tell me there are 19 of us plus guides - 9 adults, 5 girls and 5 boys.  Are you planning to take malaria tablets ? We seem to be very close to the malarial zone in the second week.  Helen

Hi - We are a family of 3 from Wales - Tania (Mam) and the kids,  Iolo (16) and Iwan (12). We are also really excited about the trip. I've just got the visas. Not sure about the Malaria tablets. Will probably take doctors advice. Hope we don't need them.

Jane Ball - Hi all - we have not yet received our visas but the cheque has cleared so they should be on their weay to us any day now! How exciting! We asked a variety of people for travel health advice and have been told (and shown on the map?!) that we do not need to take the malaria tablets just to make sure that we have the jungle formula (or similar) in case we get bitten!

Just had a lovely Chinese takeaway here for Father's Day - like Helen we love the food and only hope we don't get fed up of it during the holiday - although the literature does imply that there are choices ....

We are trying to decide on currency now - how much we might need, whether to take Chinese currency or sterling cheques - so many things to think about now as it gets closer - but we can't wait!
