Does this mean wooly hats, gloves and a couple of fleece layers?

If you check your trip notes & the kit list and bring what's on it you'll be fine. Hat/Gloves/Fleece are on the list, more often than not though, we are on the hills in shorts & TShirts, but always with backup gear in our rucksacks.

Great trip for June, cooler but still sunny. Group flight easiest but would suggest adding maybe a couple of days in Venice before picking up group transfer. Flights to Marco Polo Airport from lots of places and despite what people say, lots of cheap hotels near airport. Another easy direct route if you don't use group flight is via Innsbruck, EasyJet then hop on train to drop you off behind the Hotel Adler in Villabassa.
Don't forget boots not walking shoes, see you there.
