Hi Elizabeth,
I have been to the Classic Kenya Safari and Zanzibar trip in September 2009 and I really think it is a great trip!
Obviously it would be amazing also to do just the Classic Kenya Safari, but I think that we all really enjoyed the Zanzibar bit at the end of the trip, so if you can do that it is highly recommended!
We use Fumba Beach Lodge by the coast which is a stunning resort! You can have a look at their website if you want to get an idea: http://www.fumbabeachlodge.com/
As far as the group is concerned, the resort is very intimate and we ended up spending the last days together although we didn't have a leader for that part of the trip...

Hiya,
Looking to go away with exodus and really excited by the above trips! Cant decide which to go for! Is Zanzibar part worth paying extra for? Bit concerned as know there is no leader in Zanzibar part of trip. Would be travelling solo and never done exodus trip before- do the group stay together for this part? Dont fancy eating alone etc!! Is it better to book a solos departure? (there is not one for safari AND zanzibar tour but there is one for the shorter classic safari)
