Cordillera Blanca & Huayhuash Trek

Hi Theresa, my wife and I are booked on this trek. I'm told that there's six people booked. We depart from Dublin and will arrive in Lima a day early (11th). Did you get the kit bag? We're still waiting. Frank.

No, as we are from Western Australia we don't get a kit bag! We are just taking our soft sided backppacks. We arrive on the 7th and are staying at Hotel San Antonio Abad in Miraflores. We're a bit worried that we'll be the oldest on the trek. Paul is 58 and I am 54! We have been doing some training and hope that we'll manage. The only problem is altitude. We can't train for that, so fingers crossed. How about you guys?

Hi Theresa, we're pretty much of the same vintage, I'm 56, Una is 51. We're both fit as we do a lot of hillwalking, but like you we're not sure about the altitude. It's not something you can train for. We're staying in the "group" hotel, Faraona Gran Hotel, which is also in the Miraflores district. We'll arrive on the 11th, in the late afternoon. If you wish, we could meet up sometime on the 12th. Frank.

Good to hear from you. We're arriving on the 7th and staying at the Hotel San Antonio Abad in Miraflores. We have booked to go on the FCCA Huancayo train trip 7am to 7pm on the 11th, overnight in Huancayo and return by bus arriving around 3pm on the 12th. We're staying at your hotel that evening so will catch up with you then. Hope you get your kit bag soon! I'm picking up our final papers today! They do leave it quite late I think.

Hi all,  have no fear... looks like this could be an aged trip, in the best possible taste! I'm arriving (BA and ash willing) on the 12th, just before the "group" flight - which, on the basis of the reported six in total, means one other person.
