Hi Leslie, hmmm...biking in lovely hot Cuban sunshine vs slogging through force eight gales, ice, blizzards etc? No competition really! Therefore any training for the trip on my part is taking place in the gym :-) Are you booked on the group flight from Gatwick?

Hi everyone,

also booked on the Gatwick flight and looking forward to finally getting to Cuba after several years of just talking about it.  Just need to get the bike back on the road after the excesses of the festive season, 2 weeks of snow and ice and general lethargy.  See you all next month !

Bring me sunshine!!  Can't wait.  I'm no stranger to cycling but haven't done a cycling holiday such as this before so any tips from those pros amongst you will be gratefully received.  Also on the Gatwick flight.

I'm getting pretty excited about this trip - my first ever cycling trip!  Yey!

 Have been training in the gym (spinning classes are pretty good for that) and also cycling to work daily which is not much fun in this Artic weather at the moment but thinking of the sunny Cuban climate is keeping my spirit up.  :)

I've given up trying to train in this weather and swapped the bike for walking the dogs.....I'll be relying on you guys to give me hand up the hills. Just looking forward to some sunshine.

Hi fellow bikers - think I got the last place and 1st year I have decided not to rejoin the gym....been walking through the snow today and running but a biking holiday is a 1st for me too - but VERY excited about finally going to Cuba - see you Sunday!! Tina
