Trip - AIN - DELHI TO KATHMANDU, Departure Date - Sunday 21st November 2010
hi, i want to do this trip, either by the end of the year or early next year, but i want to know how long should i leave from booking to departure? like how long does it take to get a visa and how long should you have your jabs(if you need any) before going, thanks for any responses.
India for Christmas - 17th Oct 2010 - 12:20pm
Hi James - Have you committed to this yet? We're booked on this trip departing 18/12, four of us and you've just reminded us we need to arrange our visas for India and Nepal, so this is something we'll be checking on line today. As for jabs - we've had most and just had boosters about a month ago.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Delhi to Kathmandu - 29th Oct 2010 - 5:28pm
Hi James
I am unsure if you have booked this trip yet or not but generally the advice is to book as early as possible in order to secure the best flights.
As Delhi and Kathmandu are both popular places to travel to flights can be hard to get sometimes so the sooner these are sorted out the better. The later you book the more chance there is that a supplement may have to be charged.
In terms of vaccines we suggest that you visit your GP or travel health clinic (nomadtravel.co.uk/exodus) at least 6 weeks prior to departure in order that you are covered as much as possible.
For an Indian Visa you need a minimum of 10 days but preferably get it a month before departure so there is time to deal with any problems if there are any. A Nepal visa can be purchased on arrival, there is no need to get it in advance unless you really want to.
I hope this helps and that you have a great time on the trip.
Best wishes
