FAN Namibian adventurer family trip

Hi we are off to Namibia on 30 july, I have been to the GPs to get up to date with our vaccinations, do we need rabies? As far as I can gather we only need this if we are more than 24 hours from medical care- is this the case? Also do we need malaria tablets? Again from my research we only need to take tablets if we are going in the wet season or right up north around the Kavango and Kunene rivers, neither of which seem to apply to us. Thanks for any clarification on this.
