Trip - CIS - SNOWSHOEING IN THE DOLOMITES, Departure Date - Monday 19th December 2011

Hello to all trip mates!

I have never been snowshoeing before and was wondering how many of my fellow trip mates are seasoned snowshoers? Do you have any tips?

I have heard snowshoeing is extremely tough, and I am busy improving my fitness levels (which quite frankly could do with improvement!)

Looking forward to the experience and to meet a new group of people.

Hello! I'm also booked on -

Hello! I'm also booked on this trip - looking forward to it. I tried snowshoeing last year for the first time, and it was great fun. I found it quite easy getting used to the snowshoes - there really isn't much to learn. It can be hard work, but of course depends on the terrain. I think it's easier than cross-country skiing from what I've heard (though I don't ski, so can't talk from experience!).

Look forward to meeting everyone!

Hi GuysI've also just booked -

Hi Guys

I've also just booked myself on this trip. I've never done snowshoeing before so will be a fellow beginner but very much looking forward to it, looks like great fun. In fact this is my first "Winter" hols so hope there is loads of good snow. I was going to look at the cross-country skiing but thought I'd break myself in gently :-)

Looking forward to great scenery, fresh mountain air and meeting fellow travellers!
