Footwear for CFA Finnish Wilderness? -
Trip - CFA - FINNISH WILDERNESS WEEK, Departure Date - Sunday 15th January 2012
Hello all I'm booked on CFA Finnish Wilderness Week and wondered if anyone can give me advice for footwear? I was planning to take my walking/hiking boots, will these be OK for snow-shoeing and husky sledding? Not sure if we get specialist boots for snow-shoe, presume we do for cross country ski-ing? I'm new to all this winter activities, as you might be able to tell, so any kind advice is appreciated! Thank you

Hi -
i went on this last year. the snow shoes, ski's and walking poles are yours to use for the whole week. I'd recommend some games as the evenings can be long.

Thank you... -
....for your replies! One more question: is there any Internet access at Oulsanka? I am planning to bring my iPad for the evenings and just wondered if I will be able to keep in touch with my family whilst I am away as my father is not well at the moment. Thanks again

Hi there.  Sorry for the -

Hi there.  Sorry for the delay.  There isn't immediate access at Basecamp Oulanka, however, you will be able to ask the staff if you can use their computer for internet access if you need to get hold of your father.  They will be more than happy to help!

Have a great trip!
