galapagos flights -
Trip - AAG - GALAPAGOS ISLANDS, Departure Date - Monday 2nd April 2012

Hi

just out of interest how long have previous flights been? (london to quito) How many changes have people had?

Thanks

We flew Birmingham to Quito -
We flew Birmingham to Quito via Amsterdam. The Amsterdam Quito flight stopped in Bonaire and Guayaquil before Quito. Left Amsterdam about midnight, landed Quito just before lunch the next day. Not sure about actual flying time. We waited about 2 hours in Bonaire and less than an hour in Guayaquil. Coming back you don't go to Guayaquil In 2 weeks (with side trip to Amazon) we had 12 take offs and landings. Worth every minute.... C

Via Madrid -
My recent flights went via Madrid with Iberia on the way out and via Guayuil and Madrid on the way back with LAN (I think it was). A couple of hours at each stop. No problems with luggage. I did find Iberia to be using planes that probably haven't been updated fpr 20 years in terms of entertainment systems. All planes used were designed for short people. Some of the most uncompfertable seat I have sat in!

alisonA word of warning -

alison

A word of warning about security guards at Quito Airport - they called me to search my luggage & nicked my camera - I didn't notice until I returned home.Do not be distracted by one of them making conversation whilst the other carries out a search if you are selected.

The only way I had any photos of a trip of a lifetime was due to my great travelling companions forwarding me theirs.
