GORILLAS & MASAI MARA - November 2nd, Solo Traveller!

Hi Mark,

I've had my eye on this trip, but have just booked for Burma so gorillas will have to wait for next year.

Don't be nervous about travelling on your own.  I took the plunge 3 years ago and went to Egypt with Exodus on my own (as my friend I normally go away with wasn't free that year).  The group was brilliant and I had a great time.  In fact, I'm heading off on a week's beach holiday next week with 3 of the girls I met on that trip - we've done a short trip together each year since.  I've been on a few more group trips since then (but not solo) and the group have been great each time.

I'm going in nov. I'm really looking forward to it. I've done lots of travel on my own but have never done anything like this - looking at wildlife, so I'm a bit nervous too.

Hi Mark, I'm Lizzie from worcestershire, on the trip with partner Craig and my mum Jenny. Don't be nervous, some of the people we went to Peru with were on their own and after that trip I would definitely travel on my own with Exodus, the small groups are very inclusive and an interesting mix of people. Ali - re visas we get them on arrival in Uganda and Kenya so no need to bother beforehand, just need blank pages in your passports. We also just found out that mozzie nets are provided so no need to buy. Just getting our kit together and trying to make sure we've got everything, we've been advised to pack light which I always find hard! Look forward to meeting you both in early Nov, Lizzie :O)

thanks very much for the info it's put my mind at rest, and looking forward to meeting you too. I've started trying to pull a bit of kit together but the most important bit - the trecking shoes - is on hold at the moment because I broke my toe a month ago and still can't get into my normal size shoes!! Hey hoe, I'll be walking in open toed sandals at this rate.

Hi mark I will be going on this trip. It will be my 5 trip like this and second with Exodus. I always go by myself and have met some great people. I think it will be a good trip Dawn
