Highlights of Botswana

I am quite jealous and am sure you will have a great time!  My first camping safari was the Exodus one to Namibia (highlights of Namibia) which is still my best holiday to date. Last year I went on a camping safari through the Maasai Mara and Serengeti which was also fantastic.  On both trips we saw lots of wildlife including the big five and some amazing landscapes.  The fact that everyone is camping together also creates a really nice atmosphere.

My tips would include take a camera with a good zoom, binoculars, handwipes to clean hands and feet (and face on a particularly dusty day!) and if the truck is open on all sides you probably want something to wrap around your face like a cotton scarf and a windproof jacket (especially on early morning game drives).  I invested in a Sigg water bottle which came in very handy to decant the larger plastic bottles of water in to.
