Hi Sarah, You didn't tell -

Hi Sarah,

You didn't tell me that a forum existed! Looking forward to holidaying now, need to get some exercising in for all the cycling and practice with chopsticks! I'm sure some other people must be booked on the trip?

Speak to you soon.

Hi There,My girlfiend and I -

Hi There,

My girlfiend and I will be joining you too, we can't wait so much to see and do!!

Andrew

Hi Andrew, Good to hear -

Hi Andrew,

Good to hear from you! We've had our final invoice so it's looking quite real now :)

Have you thought at all about how you're taking money? I'm thinking traveller's cheques in dollars with some cash dollars, then changing to Chinese currency when we get there.

Sarah

Highlights of China -

Hi,

My great friend Hilary is joining me on this trip in Sept. We are getting very excited and especially look forward to the cycling and the chance to try a litle Chinese cookery! and of coure to meeting the rest of our fellow  travellers.

Hi Sarah, Yes its feeling a -

Hi Sarah,

Yes its feeling a little more real now that the final invoice has arrived. Good question with regards to cash. I would have thought that we'd do the same a mix of dollars in travellers cheques and cash. I was in Peru last year, did the same there and no problems.

Andrew

Hi SarahMy husband, Colin -

Hi Sarah

My husband, Colin and I are also joining you on the China trip we are really looking forward to the adventure and I am getting excited as it is almost here (I'm now counting in weeks not months)!  I agree with you that taking US dollars seems to be the best way of taking currency.  Is there anyone else on the trip who will be travelling from the North East to Heathrow?

Karen

Hi Vanessa and Hilary, Karen -

Hi Vanessa and Hilary, Karen and Colin, nice to hear from you (I think that's about half the people on the trip accounted for!)

Helen and I are coming from Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire, so, fingers crossed, a nice quick journey down to Heathrow on the Saturday.

Vanessa Moulding  Hi -

Vanessa Moulding

Hi Everyone,Excitement pitch is rising by the day. Hilary and I are travelling out to Bejing by BA & look forward to meeting you all on arrival. This is because we have planned a short extension to HK at the end and we ahve to fly BA back from there to UK. Visas safely arrived , just money to sort now. I guess we are maybe the oldest in the group  but I really have no idea.....just a guess. Anyway we are both honing up our bike riding and step climbing skills in preparation!!

Just shamelessly bumping -

Just shamelessly bumping this back up the board in the hopes that someone else from the trip will see it :)

 Only two weeks to go!

Sarah

Revving up!! -
Well,it's now next week......unbelievable. Last week H and I were in first gear....now after a busy,. busy, weekend we are revving up and soon will be in turbo!! All terribly exciting. We are travelling BA as we have a planned extension in HK at the end so we'll get there first ( barring cabin crew strikes) so look forward to meeting all of you fellow adventurers in Bejing.Safe jopurnet to all.Vanessa Moulding
