Imperial China & Yangtze River Cruise

My sister and I are already booked on to this trip and are awaiting final confirmation that this tour will go ahead once minimum tour numbers are booked (departing London 4th September - tour start date in China 5th September). Both of us are really looking forward to the three weeks tripping around the sights of China. I will be departing from London and my sister will be joining us from New Zealand (which is where I will return to after the trip).

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my forum communication. Its great that you will be travelling on this exciting & adventurous holiday to China. Apparently the one leaving on the 5th September is fully booked with 16 paying travellers! so I might consider the week after. I just need to co-ordinate my leave, my replacement & training. I then need to plan flights from Malta to the UK too but that's not normally a problem at all! I do hope that your holiday is confirmed by now. Are you a party of 3 people travelling then?

I am now confirmed on this tour leaving UK on Sunday the 12th September. I will be flying either from Malta or Athens to leave from UK with the group. I am now in the process of organising my Visa - but might need the actual tickets, still have to confirm with Chinese Embassy here in Malta. I am even organising jabs :( & looking into what medication I need too. I look forward to hearing from you all

Hi, Gaby and everybody preparing for this exciting trip. As far as I know I am the only Irish person on this trip, but dont worry I dont drink excessively or sing bad Irish songs(thats 'cause I can't sing)! 'Really getting excited now, with less than 3 weeks to go. I am arriving in Bejing on 11 Sept to get over jet lag. Anybody else arriving early? Sleeping on trains is a first for me. Would love to hear from as many of you as possible with your thoughts on the trip.
I am really looking forward to the trip too. I will be flying with the group from Heathrow on Sunday so unfortunatley will ahve to adjust to the jet leg. I travelled to Russia by train from Moscow to St Petersburg. I loved the lullying noise & even managed to sleep relatively well. One has to think ahead when being on a train as there arent the amenities in cabins so I took packets of fresh & clean. I am now all prepared that is from jabs, visas, travel books etc. Will see you all on the tour for a fantastic adventurous time Gaby
Is anyone considering this lovely trip to China? I have been doing lots of reading & research. I might consider a later date ie leaving 5th September 2010. So far I will be joining the group alone unless I don't manage to find friends who are interested in the same tour. I will be travelling from my country ie Malta to London & most likely join the group at the airport either Gatwick or Heathrow. I would like to hear from any fellow traveller.
