Hi there

I am booked on the Inca Trail Trip leaving London on 21st October. Would be good to touch base with anyone going on the same trip and share any advice/tips on preparations and kit etc

 Hope to hear from someone

Inca Trail -

Hi Natalie

I'm booked on that trip - it's great to be in touch with someone else - I'm flying from Manchester so I think I arrive ahead of the London flight - I can't offer any advice but some of the posts on the Arrivals Gate section are really helpful, although after reading them my shopping list keeps growing!!!   I've been doing some mountain walking in Snowdonia over the Summer in preparation - what about you?

Bye for now

Hi CarylThanks for the tip -

Hi Caryl

Thanks for the tip about the looking on the arrivals page. I think my shopping list has just grown as well!!!

I belong to a Hiking club in Bristol so try to get out on a Sunday for the day at least twice a month. I have used the  Beacons as a bit of training ground earlier in the summer and recently came back from 4 days hiking in Pembrokeshire. Otherwise, I am just trying to walk everywhere (and where possible in my boots) to get my legs and feet used to as much continuous walking as possible.......although I don't think the hills in my 6 mile round trip to work equate to any that we will encounter in Peru!!!

Thanks for getting touch and happy shopping!!!

 Natalie

Hi NatalieHope you don't go -

Hi Natalie

Hope you don't go too mad with the shopping ......... looking on the arrivals bit - we can only take about 5 kilos in our kit bag as the sleeping bag and mat takes up the rest of the allowance - that's going to be a challenge in itself!! I'm really looking forward to the trip now - are you travelling on your own?

 Bye for now

Caryl

5 kilos isn't much is it... -

5 kilos isn't much is it... and believe me I generally pack light... I might need to a few trial packing sessions before departure!!!!  I am indeed traveling on my own. I haven't travelled with Exodus before but a few friends have (also on their own) and they have had a great time.

Have you travelled with Exodus before?

Natalie

Hi NatalieNo I have never -

Hi Natalie

No I have never done an exodus trip, a few people I know have done similar trips too and they had a great time .......it's good to hear from someone else travelling alone - there are apparantly 5 'solo travellers' on the trip - are you going via USA or Amsterdam - anyway see you in just over 2 weeks.......Wow I can't believe it is so soon, good luck with you final preparations - I think my kit bag arrived the other day -I have to go & pick it up from the  Post Office,  I've also practised packing 4.5kg of kit etc and just about did it  :)

Bye for now

Caryl
