Hi Kevin and Jackie

I am also booked onto this trip, along with my friend Katie.

I've never been anywhere like Peru before so am very excited - hopefully its as good as it looks!

Hi Alison,We have never done -

Hi Alison,

We have never done anything like this before either! We will both have our 50th birthdays whilst we are on the trip, so it's our present!

I must admit I am a bit concerned about how difficult the trek is going to be. I do lots of walking and some running but am trying to get fitter before we go. Also attempting to learn some spanish!

Looking forward to meeting you

Jackie

That is a lovely way to -

That is a lovely way to celebrate!

I am treating myself with this trip as I graduated from uni a couple of years ago, but never had a gap year or went travelling as I was too busy with my studies and couldn't afford it. So now I have been working two years I can do what I couldn't do before, and in a little bit of a more civilised way probably!

I am fairly active but have never been to high altitude so I think that will be the challenge on the trek for me. And I'm afraid at the moment my Spanish is non-existant!

Looking forward to meeting you too.

Ola! -

Hi Alison,

How are your prepeartions going? We have started to collect things together to try and decide what to take and what to leave at home, its quite hard to know what to take on the Trek - 7 kg is not very much as my empty bag weighs 1kg and my sleeping bag 2 kg!

Final Preparations! -

Hi Jackie,

I'm currently doing the same. I'm taking lightweight layers of clothes rather than anything heavy, so that should save some weight. But 7kg isn't a lot I agree! I'm trying to be sensible with the amount I need as I always over pack when I go away - have written a list and not going to take anything extra!

I'm really excited now, hopefully everything will go to plan :)

Are you on the group flight from Heathrow?
