Trip - TYT - KILIMANJARO - LEMOSHO ROUTE & ZANZIBAR, Departure Date - Thursday 26th January 2012

Hi,

can anyone advise me on whether a Yellow Fever certificate is needed when entering Zanzibar from Tanzania. The advise seems a little confusing. As we transfer flights in Nairobi, does this count as travelling from an infected country?

Also, I've been advised to consider the Rabies vaccination. Anyones thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I did the same trip 2 years ago and you will need Yellow Fever. I would also recommend rabies vacs, it is prevalent there and it only takes one bite/scratch - not worth the risk in my opinion.

Have a great trip, it was the hardest but most rewarding thing I've ever done! It will be amazing.

Hi, got back from Tanzania 2 weeks ago, transfered in from Nairobi and they checked our yellow fever certs insisting we needed them to enter, however I didn't bother with the rabies shots.
