Jordan & Eygpt - Currency

Jordan & Eygpt - Currency - 6th Sep 2010 - 2:05pm

Trip - AEJ - PETRA & THE PYRAMIDS, Departure Date - Monday 11th October 2010

Am off on petra and the pyramids trip in a few weeks. Does anyone know what the 'functional currency of Jordan and Eygpt is? Should I get Jordanian Dinars & Eygptian pounds or just a fistful of dollars?

Or a mix of all 3?

Hi Matt,

I would advise starting by taking out a fistful of dollars and then changing them out there as you will often find the local exchange rate to be much better than that of our UK bureau de change. It also gives you the flexibility to decide which country you would rather spend more in.
