Julian Alps Traverse 18 July

Hi, my friend and I are also on the same trip but will be flying out a day early (tomorrow) to have an extra day in Ljubljana before we hed over to Bled. So we'll see you then!

Hello John & Joanne, I'm on the same Easyjet flight as you and intend to make my own way to Bled rather than wait till midnight for the rest of the group to arrive. No quite sure whether to join with others in a taxi or to travel by bus, which would allow me to snoop around Ljulbjana for a few hours. Buses leave from Ljubljana main bus station every hour on the hour, take 1hr 19 mins and cost ca 7euro. Should we confer with others at Stansted Departures or Ljulbljana Arrivals?

Hi Martin, thanks for your message.  We were thinking of going straight to Bled from the airport.  There's a direct bus at 1700 but unless the flight is early we're not likely to catch this.  The next one is at 1900.  The weather forecast for Sunday is not very good - severe thunderstorms forecast - so we thought that we'd make a final decision when we arrive at Ljubljana airport.  We look forward to meeting you at Stansted on Sunday, John and Joanne

Hello John & Joanne, you've done your homework very well. It didn't occur to me there was a bus direct from the airport to Bled. And I haven't consulted weather reports yet. So shall we meet at Stansted Departure Lounge?  I have a white beard & glasses and will be carrying a crimson shoulder bag. See you soon afer 12.00.
