Hey,

Anyone going on the reverse AYU trip departing July 2, 2011?

Hi Sarah, I too am on this -

Hi Sarah,

I too am on this trip! SO excited to be going to see the gorillas finally! :D

Are you a solo traveller on this trip too?

Pete

Hey! -

Hey Pete!

I am traveling with a college friend. We are both happy to hear from someone else going on the trip. We will be meeting the group in Kigali (flying in from the states).

Are you traveling solo? Where are you from?

Goodness me, that must be a long flight for you both? Which part of the states are you flying in from?

I'm from England, a town called Nottingham - famous for Robin Hood and Torville & Dean! I am travelling solo, yeah. I much prefer that, it's easier to make friends that way.

Are you going to be doing any hiking practice for Rwanda?

 Pete

Hello,

I am going on this trip as well...New Jersey, USA.  Cant wait.  Pete: are you excited for the Royal Wedding??

Hi ctn, Fantastic to hear -

Hi ctn,

Fantastic to hear from another traveller! That makes 4 of us so far, so at least another 4 to appear I think? New Jersey must be a LOOONG way to come from! Where are you transiting to get to Kigali? London?

As for the Royal Wedding.. People here aren't really too excited about it. We get an extra Bank Holiday which is what has pleased me. Two 4 day weekends on the trot has kept a smile on my (And every other Briton's) face!

Pete

Any more for any more on -

Any more for any more on this trip? :)

Just over a month to go, eeee!

Hi -
Hi, just found the forum. There are four of us coming on this trip - all friends, three from Leeds & one from Hemel Hempstead. Not sure if the trip is full? Getting excited now & finding trekking catalogues strangely alluring!

Yay for more people! Are you -
Yay for more people! Are you all getting the group flight from Heathrow? There's 17 of us apparently, and I'm the baby of the group I'm afraid from what Exodus have told me!

Yes, we're getting the flight from Heathrow - we'll be the ones with all the gear & no idea!

Richard, I fear that that -

Richard, I fear that that will be me too! I'm going down to London earlier in the day then need to find a quick way from London to LHR..

I shall keep an eye out for the Exodus bagtags, mine'll be somewhere round my bag, I'm sure! :)

a week to go -

Any last minute thoughts about this trip?

Has anyone heard of good tips for this trip?

Sarah Leibert

One heads up, you can't take -

One heads up, you can't take plastic bags into Rwanda. Apparently they take them from you at customs in the airport. That and apparently photographing the gorillas can be a bit tricky because of light in the forests etc, so I've read a few tutorials on it. May be worth doing, especially if anyone is shooting on film.

Apart from that, I just want next Friday to come now! EXCIIIIIIIIITED! =D
