Kenya and Tanzania adventure, anyone going?

Hi IbbyI'm going on this trip and very excited too. I was just wondering if anyone else who's booked up too is a diver? I'm looking in to doing a few days when we're in Zanzibar and I'm just checking out who are the most reputable operators and the best dive sites. Happy to share what I've got so far if there's interest. I'm solo travelling this time so will obviously need someone to buddy up with but could look into hiring a guide I guess. I'm an Advanced PADI diver, but haven't done any dives since 2003 so will probably try and do a refresher in the UK before I go. Can't wait...safari and wonderful marine life - all in one trip! Aren't we lucky! H
Im on the AYK departing 17/10 too. I'll be flying into Nairobi a day early on the Virgin fkight, so as to look around there also. If anyone is doing similar and wants to meet up feel free to contact me. Look forward to meeting you all.
Brett
Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone's planning to do the optional breakfast balloon trip in the Serengeti?
Also, does anyone fancy a day's scuba diving in Zanzibar? I went into a dive shop in London and a chap there recommended Zanzibar Watersports (It's run by a Brit - Chris Goodwin - http://www.zanzibarwatersports.com). The guided dives are a little bit more expensive than some offered by other operators, but they're very well run and have good, well maintained equipment for hire. For those who don't dive already, they also offer snorkelling/kayaking trips.
Apparently, the Mnemba Atoll Marine Park, Mbangawa, Shane's Reef, Kome and Misoli Deep are all great, local dive sites.
Looking forward to meeting you in Oct! Helen
