Trip - TYN - KILIMANJARO CLIMB - NORTHERN CIRCUIT, Departure Date - Tuesday 8th February 2011

Anyone else going on this? I booked up at the weekend. Have trekked in Venezuela and Iceland before, but first time at such high altitude. Looking forward to it...

Hi Rich. I've booked up too. I haven't done anything like this before so it's very exciting (and a bit scary!). Just trying to get a bit fit beforehand....... It's useful to check out the other kili threads - some good advice in places.

I've had to cancel this trip due to an injury but I have booked another in September so keeping my fingers crossed all will be well by then! Have a great time trekking:-)

Hi Rich,

I've signed up along with my brother. We've both done some trekking but like you not to this altitude. We did a week in the Tatras in Slovakia as part of 'training', which was good for assessing our gear. Looking forward to meeting everyone in a month's time...
