Yes, we're going for exactly that one, Malarone: we too have read that in low season,you might not even see a mosquito; however have also read the official statistics: http://www.doh.gov.za/issues/malaria/seasonaldata.pdf
showing several cases and very rarely deaths in those north eastern provinces in July and August in most years. Have also read that the mosquito in question is an evening biter, doesnt buzz and causes very little skin reaction - at least if I feel protected, I'll count that as a plus!
