Hi Chris and Mary,

I'm also going on this trip and looking forward to some excellent mountain views. My level of fitness is not what it should be, so I may well be the one plodding along at the back!

Looks as if our trip is going to be a real luxury.Have spoken to Sharmil at Exodus. Some information might be helpful to you.

  • Electric plugs 2 pin INTERNATION [ Europeon two pin are different].
  • When we go for rafting our camera and money etc. will be looked after by team leader. TOWEL can be borrowed from lodge. Water is cool but refreshing
  • Take some antibacterial wet wipes to use before eating and freshening face.
  • Sandles with back strap for rafing and evening use in lodges.
  • 10 L day pack should be sufficient. Take some plasters and first aid things.
  • Can pay for visa in$ ,£ and in rupees.
  • Take some snacks bars
  • Lodges have washing facilities so we can wash our quick drying under clothes using travel wash

I am taking a light weight silk sleeping bag liner to use when camping, some tea shirts and a quick drying full sleeve shirt. One mountain P cap with thermal cover for ears, one thin fleece cap and a hat with large rim in case it is really sunny.

What about you, any tips? Do you suggest any other items?

Masud

Thanks for passing on the -

Thanks for passing on the info. I am now going to reconsider my plan to dump the snack bars!  Trying to pack everything within the weight limit is not easy for someone who comes from the ' everything but the kitchen sink ' camp !
