great that the trip is confirmed, is our 1st group travel adventure. reckon a kit bag and day pack should be enough, any thoughts ?

How was your trip? -

Hi

I hope you dont mind me making contact but am thinking of booking this trip to go this summer.....  I believe you went on March; no doubt you had a fab time but was wondering if you would recommend it to a single traveller.

If you have any comments, I'd truely welcome them before I go ahead an make my booking.

Oh, and was the kit bag good value and did most people have them?

Thanks a lot

Jane

hi jane, seems to be some confusion on date of travel,! we don't go until november !! ps no problem with you getting in touch a about size of kit bags, best thing you can do is just go for it like us,!

Hi Melanelaine, thanks for your reply.  Not sure how/where things have gone wrong but the top message in this 'trail', illustrates your departure date to be 7th March!  Well, thats great as you've now got it to look forward to, rather than look back on!  I'm hoping to go in July - phew, its gonna be hot!

Thanks again

Jane

I'm taking a barrel bag (holdall) and a day pack , i'll wear my boots to go in, and take walking sandals as well, everything is light weight, and remember you do need cotton stuff, otherwise yll be sweating like hell, or specialist 'outdoor' kit....

You lucky guys..... -
I keep getting copies of your messages as I joined in this message trail sometime ago. I'm feeling a little jealous as you have your trip in front of you, and I've already been! I had the most fabulous time, and you will all too - it's the most wonderful two weeks, with so much to see and do. If you have the same guide as us, Rachid, he will ensure that you all have a lot of fun, see a lot and get the most out of his vibrant country. I dont think you could ask for a better and more knowlegeable guide; please tell him 'the old lady from Oxford, says Hi'! If there is anything any of you want to know, just yell - I truely wish I was coming with you. Take care. Jane

Got loads of room left in my bag, so that means I can bring loads of junk back..!!!!.....LOL

amh -
got the same plan this end, cant pass up the chance 2 barter 4 summit that will never b used, lol. we taking a mix off cash & cards as not sure how available cash machines etc are when in remote areas, jane, can u help on that ? alan&elaine

Money issues -
Hi I took Euros and exchanged them at airport for local currency - ths was a very easy process. I didn't use cash machines although some in our team did, and I didnt hear of any problems. If you dont travel often however, I would suggest that you advise both your bank and c/c company that you are going, as some I beliecve, refuse random payments as a security issue (if they're not used to seeing foreign payments on specific accounts). I travel often and my bank and c/c company are used to seeing payments from different countries but I do know people you have indeed had card payments refused.

amh -
many thanks. will take euro then, our bank is pretty much used 2 random payments from strange places though always tell c/c company when on our travels. we do love 2 mix it when away, eat local food, drink local drink etc. get a chance 2 try there beer etc ? alan&elaine
