Luggage - family Namibia trip and daytime weather

Luggage - family Namibia trip and daytime weather - 3rd Jun 2010 - 9:36pm

Trip - FAN - NAMIBIAN ADVENTURER - FAMILY HOLIDAY, Departure Date - Wednesday 28th July 2010

Going end of July early August. What is best luggage wise - suitcase or backpack. The exodus kitbags are only 60 litres. How much room is there with the transport.

Looking at temperature information to judge daytime clothing - aware gets cold at night. Is it shorts, T-shirt and sandals in the daytime?

Hi Sean

I hope you and your family are looking forward to your upcoming holiday to Namibia. You luggage weight will be restricted by the airline, its normally around 20 - 23 kilos per person. Luggage is carried in the back of the truck and either type of bag is fine, I would bring whatever you find the easiest to carry.

July is the winter in Namibia but it is still the desert so average daytime temperatures will be around 20C with almost no chance of rain.
