2 months to go -

Hi all,

Only 2 months to go before the trip!

I have recently increased the amount of training I do every week to make sure I will be fit enough for the trip. Such a shame there isn't any mountain near where I live!

I have also started preparing the kit for the trip... The main challenge will be staying under the weight limit and making sure everything fits in my bags.

mera peak -

Hi guys

i did this trip in March 2011 - a big tip - take your own crampons - there are some very narrow ridges which aren't in the trip notes that you have to negotiate - one especially the day before the Zataware La - that is a path between 12-24 inches across & about 2 hours across & 1000-1500 metre drop - the crampons for hire in Kathmandu are of the poorest quality & you don't want to compromise on your grip on the snow & ice.

also this is a very tough trip & almost every day is harder than kilimajaro summit day so keep up the training

 good luck

Hi,Only 4 days to go!Thanks -

Hi,

Only 4 days to go!

Thanks for the tip. I've got my own crampons, so I shouldn't have this problem.

No training for me this week. It would be a real shame to hurt myself before going on holiday...
