That seems like loads. I can't remember what I took, but I reckon it would have been little more than £300, but I paid for a rafting trip on my credit card when I was there.

Hi
US dollars are definitely the way to go. Something Exodus doesn't say, is to take larger notes to exchange, because you get a better exchange rate.
We spent £600, including the £300 for the balloon flight.
I made the mistake for taking some travellers cheques, which I couldn't change anywhere. I was able to use them to pay for the balloon flight though.
Most places charge between 5 & 10% for using your credit card.

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone who has been on this trip could advise me about how much money I am likely to need for trip?
I'm planning on taking US dollars, but not sure how much to bring - really don't want to be caught short and miss out on anything, but also don't want to have loads of dollars left over when I get back.
I was thinking about taking £750 - does this sound ludicrous?
Are the places we'll visit fairly safe?
Any advice would be gratefully received!
Thanks
Laura
