Isn't it exciting? Only 3 weeks to go now. Will pick up my malaria tablets tomorrow.

Do you leave from Heathrow as well with Malaysian Airways? It might be nice to meet in the departure area ?

Hi Beeni,                                                                                                                                   I'm ready bar the packing, and yes, I'm on the group flight from Heathrow. Exodus clients are usually quite easy to spot and I should recognise you from your picture on this site. If I don't see you I will be the elderly geezer with a blue Karrimor daysack from which will be hanging an Exodus luggage label.

Hello - this will be my first Exodus Trip and I am excited but slightly nervous, more around packing for 4+ weeks, I struggle to be under 20kg for 1 week, any tips to help not look too much like the new girl!! SAJx

Just bear in mind that it will be easy - and cheap - to get laundry done anywhere we are staying more than one night. Maybe you won't need so many clothes?

This is true. And a tube of handwash gel is always useful. Climate seems to be warm so light clothing, some with long sleeves/legs for mosquitos in the evening are advised, and a raincoat thingy for the occasional possible dribble. Clothes that go together and easily fold up without (too much) creasing. I often rinse things through in the evening and they are dry the next day and ready to wear again. Walking boots and flip flops :-)

And then I always think, if I really need something I can probably buy it locally as well.

I love the idea of less is more and will try to stick to it, otherwise I will be easily spotted with the enormous suitcase....;-)     SAJx

Looks like we've missed the worst of the rain and the floods in Thailand, but more rain is on the way. In particular heavy, thundery showers are forecast for Sunday. Bring your macs & brollies! See you Saturday.

as long as we don't need to bring a dinghy as well.  Laos predicts gorgeous sunshine though. Oh I am sooo excited :-)
