Morocco departing 13th November -
Trip - AMH - HIGHLIGHTS OF MOROCCO, Departure Date - Sunday 13th November 2011
Anyone out there who is booked to go on this trip?

Highlights of Morocco -
Hi! I'm going on this trip - just booked this morning. Really looking forward to it. Would be good to make contact with anyone else who is booked.

Cool! Looks like there are -
Cool! Looks like there are at least 12 of us now i think. Cant wait!

Hi -
What have I done!! Well, I've paid for it now. Prepare for a laugh everyone (and prepare for a chatty passenger support vehicle driver ;-) )

Hi, really looking forward to it -

I booked on the spur of the moment but sure that I am going to have a really great time. I have already gone to Vietnam and Cuba (cycling) with Exodus, and found both trips highly enjoyable and entertaining, so time to visit another area of the world.

Not sure what to pack, but sure to have something to wear that is totally wrong for the holiday!

 See you at the airport,

Angie

Hopefully it will be a good -
Hopefully it will be a good group! Will be joining the tour in Casablanca so see you all there! No idea re packing either and will all be very last minute i am sure. Had a friend who did this same route but with another company and she loved it so fingers crossed!!

Four seasons in one day? -

Well that's four of us - looking good!

I have to say that I'm finding it hard to judge the weather side of things, the impression I'm getting is very varied - from sleet/snow to ~28 degs blazing sun. Anyone else any ideas?

Four seasons in one rucksack! -
My friend who went in November before said it got warmer the further south you went. She said in the desert and mountains it was freezing at night but much warmer during the day until the sun went down. Guess it will be that age old thing of layers! And a cosy sleeping bag, hat, gloves and a fleece to be on safe side. Will also take a waterproof jacket as well just in case i think. Four seasons in one rucksack!

It'll be great, whatever the weather! -
Hi everyone! Good to 'meet' a few before we all set off. I've been to Morocco before, although it was in February '08, so don't know how different the weather will be. I spent most of my time in Marrakesh, where it was lovely and warm, in fact pretty steamy at times, especially in the souks. I travelled over the Atlas Mts (in an off-roader which was fun) and into the desert for a couple of days. It was cold overnight and in the early morning, but pretty warm daytime. I would agree that layers is the way to go, with the addition of the warm stuff that Seon mentioned. That way I think you can be prepared for anything! I've so looked forward to returning to Morocco. I found it really fascinating, and vowed I would see more of the country one day - and that's rapidly approaching! Can't wait!

So layers it is -

I haven't started planning yet as I have been so busy in my work and social life. I have a few days off the week before so will probably pack then, so expect creased clothes from me!

This is my first trip to the middle east since I was kidnapped in Cairo 20 years ago. Yes, it is true, I will tell the story when we meet, so I will keep you hanging on till then. Has anyone else got an interesting travel story to tell, with which to stir our interest now, and relate when we meet?

Best

Angie

Done some travelling.... -
.......and trekking......but not sure I have any stories as interesting (or scary) as being kidnapped. Can't wait to hear this one!!

Hmmmm -
I have stories from pretty much every trip i have done. Am hoping for a nice calm and event free trip this time!!!

Getting excited! -
So not long now folks! How is everyone's planning coming along? Been working all the hours under the sun so havent done anything yet! Still need to sort out insurance and all that stuff. Better get myself in gear soon. Counting down the hours now.

Me too!! -
Got most of the planning done, but bags, clothes and other bits and pieces all over the place. Can't decide whether to take a large holdall as main luggage or a hard case with wheels. I'm usually better organised, but the last few weeks have been manic. Am at work now! Anyway, I'm really looking forward to next Sunday and meeting everyone. It'll be great to be back in Morocco.
