Moscpw - booking tickets to the Bolshoi - 6th Mar 2013 - 10:39am

Trip - AVS - MOSCOW TO ST PETERSBURG, Departure Date - Saturday 22nd June 2013

I am going on the AVS trip to Russia departing 22nd June and would love to get tickets in advance to the Bolshoi. There is a website address in the trip notes and if you go to the site you can click on the English link. However when you actually click on tickets you are sent back to the russian site. Any tips on making a booking ahead of the trip?

I tried contacting the Bolshoi directly and they said to book on the night but it would be disappointing to get there and find it's booked out.

Great to hear that you're going on this trip - I had a brilliant time last year so hope you have the same. It was difficult to get tickets locally so I absolutely agree that you need to try and book something before departure.

I just tried to book some tickets via their website and didn't have any issues. I know some have found it easier to email them and ask for tickets for a specific show too so perhaps emailing them would help instead. (sales@bolshoi.ru)

Thanks Amanda, I'll try again not sure if it is because I am in Australia although that should not make a difference. I did email the sales email address and they just told me to get it from the theatre when I arrive. I wrote back asking them for assistance to book in advance and have not received a response.
