Nile Cruise -
Trip - AEN - NILE CRUISE, Departure Date - Saturday 9th April 2011

I suppose someone has to be the first to post a comment so why not us. We have been on an Exodus trip before (India Easter 2010 - Ash cloud added 10 days!) so we know to expect a good crowd and a great experience. We are very much looking forward to the trip as although we have visited Eurpoe (lots), Peru, Africa, Canada and USA, it's our first time in Egypt. We found that last time there was much good discussion on this site before we went and we were able to swap information, ideas and preparation advice so let's be hearing from you all.

Nile Cruise -

Hello Alan and Chris. My sister and I are going on this trip and it is our first time in Egypt too. We have not travelled with Exodus before but they seem to have mostly good reviews for their trips so we are looking forward to the holiday. I agree it would be great to get some discussions going before the trip so fingers crossed more people will contribute as we get nearer to the departure time.

I went to India a few years ago to celebrate my 50th birthday and had an amazing time, I have also been to Sri Lanka and, more recently, Morocco.

Are you flying out on the group flight?

Julie

Hi Julie, Yes we are on the -

Hi Julie,

Yes we are on the group flight. We went to India last Easter and were stranded by the ash cloud for 10 days. On that trip we had organised our own flights and felt a bit left out when the group managed to get home three days before us. However, Exodus were great and we never felt abandoned, let's hope we don't get the same problems this year.  The reviews are a good reflection of Exodus. On our India trip the guide was great, finding a good balance between giving us some freedom and babyminding us! Stocking up before the train sounds good advice (India experience again) and taking some English small change for early baksheesh sounds a good tip (sorry!).

Not too long to go now, balance to be paid within a few days.

Hi Alan, Chris and -

Hi Alan, Chris and Julie,

Glad to see people already on the forum. I'm joining the tour on my own so really good to know who else will be there! Never been on an Exodus trip before but it looked too perect to miss - can't wait to see Egypt.

Kate

Hi Kate -

I think the good thing about going on group tours is that everyone tends to be friendly and interested in meeting new people. I went to Sri Lanka and Morocco on my own but spent very little time alone!

Not long to go now, keeping fingers crossed that the political situation finds a resolution before April!

Are you on the group flight Kate?

 Julie

Hi Everyone -

I am Sue, Julie's sister.  Visiting Egypt is my "thing to do before you die" and I am as excited as a child at Christmas. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi Julie -

I'm not on the group flight so I'll ave to meet you all there! Glad that everyne seems so friendly - it's the first time I've done a tour like this on my own and I'm really looking forward to it!

 Kate

Hi Kate, Sue and Julie. We -

Hi Kate, Sue and Julie.

We are friendly-R-us and happy to get along with anyone on the tour. We have been on a few group tours and our experience is that everyone gets on very well as long as they stay relaxed!!!! The political situation looks much better now that the president has gone. Let's hope the military solution is to the Egyptians liking in the short term and the city settles down. Looking forward to the trip and of course meeting new travellers.
