Patagonia Highlights

Hi John , sorry not on this trip but have been tp Patagonia in Nov - spring in the southern hemisphere - fantastic time to travel there - mid weight fleeces and mulit layers - only cold time was on boat trips - and obviously good walking boots :) regards  Beth

We are Mick & Caron who have started counting the weeks down now. It seems so long ago when we booked this trip, its our fourth trip with Exodus. We'll be on the main group flights via Madrid, so we'll look out for you, as long as Exodus issue baggage lables this year as an ID.

we are Dave & Jean, travelling out on the standard flights. Though we've been on a few Exodus trips before, we've not been in South America at all. Insider tips welcome!

Booked a while ago of course, but just starting to think about it now. We're spending another week or so at the end of the holiday, probably a lazy sojourn somewhere outside Buenos Aires - again tips welcome :)

 Although I've been to South Ameroica before, Caron hasn't. We've booked an Exodus extention to Iguazu Falls from BA at the end of the trip. Caron just loves waterfalls, so it has to be done. However, if you can afford more time in BA I'm sure you can book this locally and probably more cheaply. You could also plan to stay on a working ranch or fly down to Bariloche (Argentina's lake district) although you might of had enough of this by the end of our trip.

First trip with Exodus, they seem to cover everything in terms of holiday preparation. I will am traveling as a single and will be arriving independently into BA on the Saturday 20th and will be extending to Iguassu independently at the end for a couple of days. Never been to South America before real interest is as a photography scouting mission for a future trip. Looking forward to the start of the holiday immensely and to meeting you all. John

H Everyone just and FYI. I'm traveling on independent flights through Expedia UK and they have just advised me that there have been changes to the internal flights with Aerolineas Argentina. (Flt 1870 AEP to FTE & Flt 1892 USH to EZE ) Not sure which flights these changes apply to just yet to but one has a departure/arrival change the other is a cancellation? I have emailed Exodus (Karol & Operations) to see if they have been made aware of the changes as Exodus are using the same flights? John

Looks like it they are closing the domestic airport (Jorge Newberry) in November and rerouting all flights to the International airport (EZE) but there's no impact on flight timings.

Was in Patagonia on a camping trip last year (not with Exodus tho) & you really can get 4 seasons in 1 day so do as Beth says and layer up! Fantastic for photography if you get a clear day....

Hi all, we're getting ourselves sorted out at last, as our departure from Edinburgh is in 2 days. For our extra week, we've booked for a few days in Buenos Aires, and across the river in Colonia, Uruguay.

I've just been checking, and it seems the 3-4 season sleeping bag recommendation is a bit over the top, I'm just going to take a liner.

After many holidays where the number of books had a significant effect on the baggage weight, we're going electronic this time, but I'm just thinking about all the various cables and chargers we'll be taking instead. I'll have a charger for AA/AAA batteries which anybody's welcome to borrow instead of taking their own.

 We're looking forward to meeting you all on Sunday or Monday
