Patagonia Weather!

Hello! I have travelled in Patagonia during October and I think the best way to describe the weather is 'very changeable'. Your departure date falls into the spring/summer season (which runs from October to March). Even at this time of year Patagonia can be cold, windy & rainy but then other days will feature brilliantly clear, sunny skies and milder temperatures. If I was you I would expect things to be quite unpredictable, so probably quite a lot like Scotland!! This is a beautiful part of the world and a great trip.
Kind regardsVicky
Did this trip some years ago. You are dead right about the weather, It is a bit like Scottie.... but when it clears, It's great. We had wet weather in Paine but the rest of the trip was fine and sunny (mind you, the wind never lets up). Great scenery. I loved it.

I was on a camping trip there in 2009 - wind was so bad one night that our tent poles bent so badly we struggled to put the tent back up again!
Stunning place though - loved it - but be prepared for 4 seasons in 1 day!!
