Hello, I am going to Peru in May. Any one have any packing tips??
Hi - glass of wine made my post disappear too soon! Yes we're panicking over what we really need to take and what we can safely leave behind. We need (I need!) layers not weight. What drinks containers are you taking - bottles or playpus? Do we need steri-tabs, although I think the cooks treat the water.... How many layers? Anyone else going?.....Come on, it's only next month!!
Hi There, I was beginning to think no one else is coming!!! Not long to go now, can't wait.! I think I have been told my Rebecca that there will be a chance to get some Laundry done, so at we don't have to pack for all the days.
I have brought some metal water bottles, as I have been told plastic is a No No. Blacks do them reasonable costs, they can also double up a hot water bottle, if it get cold at night on the Inca Trail. Water will be treated and you can buy drinking water. Is anyone else going?
I'm more worried about being left behind on the inca trail - how much can the Sherpas carry?!! Been practicing on local coastal walks so plenty of steps, inclines and sweat, so gradually building up the fitness. How about you? Also, intrigued by the local delicacies of guinea pig and llama, should be interesting.
Training is going, started off really well, on a bit of a blip, I a fare bit, but need to do some hills, steps. I am worried about the food, I don't eat meat!! Are you huys flying from Heathrow on the 11th May?
