Picos Peaks and Gorges - 17 September

Hi Sue, I am booked on this one - only my second Exodus trip but have done about 16 with Explore. Have to brush up on my Spanish I think. Was last in this area in 1974 or '75 on a student InterRail holiday!

Hi - Do you know of anyone else going?  Looking forward to a break.  Have been on a few Exodus trips and have enjoyed them all.  As for the Picos, not been there before - like you must do some Spanish!!

Oh well, glad to have heard from someone.  Perhaps nearer the time we can arrange to meet at the airport if you are going from Stanstead.  I will be travelling down from Norwich, not sure how yet, probably by coach.

Upon further reading, looks like Easyjet; Stansted - Bilbao unless you are land-only with Ryanair Stansted to Santander

The Cares Gorge walk looks exciting, had a look at some pics online. Bought a Picos guide book co-written by Victor our leader/guide. Probably go kayaking on the free day if my body is up to it!

Coming down from Leeds to Stansted, staying at Cambridge YH on friday night after getting a good cheap train deal. 

Enjoyed Corsica last year with Exodus so hopefully this'll be as good.

Looks like we should meet at Stanstead then pre flight.  I haven't flown from Stanstead for years so not sure of a good meeting place.

I will have to look out for the book you got Gareth.  As for free day, was thinking of caving as something I have always fancied but never got round to doing.  See what I fancy when I am there.

How about Starbucks in the airside section after security checks , it may be a better place to meet. Will have Exodus tag on rucksack! Gareth

That is fine I will wander towards Starbucks and also the Special Assistance desk.  I will also have the Exodus tag on rucksack so we should all spot each other.  I am aiming to get to airport about 9.15/9.30ish so by the time cleared security, etc., will probably be airside around 10.30.  See you next week.  Sue
