PNL - Greenlands Northern lights

This sounds a great trip particularly with anticipated Aurora Borealis best for years. My wife and I are considering this trip seriously. Sounds like you have enjoyed trips on this ship prevuously?? Where did you go the previus trip in June?

we were on the spitzbergen explorer the trip code is PNS, but in june its 24 hour sunlight so theres no chance to see the lights.    the Quark crew on the ship lead by Woodie and Annie are fantastic.   As soon as I saw a trip on this ship to see the lights I booked straight away.

Likewise I'm really looking forward to this- and being on the Vavilov again. It's a great ship and crew, my first trip was around Svalbard, that was so good I then did Falklands, S.Georgia and Antarctic penninsula and booked this one as soon as I saw it advertised.  

By the way, anyone saving up for the Antarctic I strongly recommend including S Georgia if you can, it's wonderful; one of the best bits of travel advice I've had.  

If anyone, like me, is having few days in Reykjavik beforehand it would be good to meet up one evening... 

We have also previously been on the Svalbard trip with Paul Goldstein on the Vavilov and it is a brilliant ship with fantastic staff. Prior to that we have been on the Antarctic trip including the Falklands and South Georgia and agree with John T.

Unfortunately we are spending a few days in Reykjavik after the trip so won't be able to meet up.

One tip - go on a serious diet before you go on the trip as the food is so good and there are a lot of tempting goodies so you are bound to put on weight.
