Trip - MZC - CYCLING THE CAPE & WINELANDS, Departure Date - Saturday 6th March 2010
I am off to Cape Towm/Winelands in March and just read the latest reviews about the trip. They were a bit mixed. First some concerns regarding the accomodation, not so good bikes ( well I bring my own!) and the change to the promised itinery. I do hope that Exodus takes note!

Hi,
Wondering how your trip went, as I'm considering this for November. I was also concerned about some negative feedback on accomodation and bike maintenance. Any comments? Thanks in advance!

I'm booked on the November 6th departure and I'm bringing my own wheels. Solves the bike maintenance problem as I know exactly what I'll be riding ;)

If you read my lenghty review about the trip you'll get all the info. It was a dream trip and I am considering doing it again. Our guides were outstanding. I was glad to have had my own lovely road bike ( take free of charge with South African Airways - in a box) even the hired bikes were ok -- but mountain bikes and very heavy. There is a lot of glass on the roads and I was glad to have brought lots od spare tubes. Watch out for the big trucks overtaking you. Great to see the Argos race too. It is not a trip for the faint haerted and you need to be fit. Have fun!

Oops forgot to say how much I enjoyed to watch the Worldcup on the tele. --especially the games in Capetown. We cycled past Green Point Stadium. Brought back memories. I think I feel homesick!
